Star Garrison is the Texas chapter of the 501st Legion — the world's largest Star Wars costuming organization with over 15,000 members worldwide dedicated to charity and community service.
Every member builds and maintains movie-quality Imperial and villain costumes, vetted by the Legion's rigorous Costume Reference Library (CRL) standards. From Stormtroopers to Darth Vader.
We appear at hundreds of events annually — children's hospitals, Make-A-Wish, charity walks, libraries, and community events — all free of charge. The Empire does give back.
Star Garrison spans the entire Lone Star State with seven regional squads. Whether you're in El Paso, the Panhandle, Houston, or the Rio Grande Valley — the Empire is nearby.

Request an EventAcquire or build a screen-accurate Star Wars villain or Imperial costume. Each 501st detachment maintains detailed build guides, approved vendors, and community support for their costume category:
Browse the 501st Legion's Costume Reference Library (CRL) to find detailed standards for your chosen costume. Once your build meets those standards, submit clear, well-lit photos to your Garrison Costume Officer for review.
Once approved, register on our forum and connect with your local squad. You'll be welcomed into the family!
